Thanks for sharing this Jeff. I am in complete agreement with you that suicidal thoughts are an attack of the enemy. I never struggled with them until living in Pakistan in the house of an extremely depressed, drug addicted and I believe demon-possessed woman. After that I started struggling with a depression that came and went for almost two years. It was only broken last summer when I was able to confess it a friend and rebuke it out loud.

Even still, sometimes these fleeting thoughts (usually pictures) come into my mind. Praise God he has given me the discernment to recognize the attack, rebuke it and confess it to my husband so he can stand with me.

Hey Jeff, it's Brent. Thank you so much for posting this as I used to suffer from depression most of my life. I think that one of the many reasons I came to Christ was because of depression. I had suicide on my mind 24/7 for a number of years. I came pretty close to following through with it but instead fell to my knees and prayed to God to take over my life; something I had never actually done before. I surrendered to Him completely and the changes that have taken place in me are nothing short of a miracle. Thank you, again for posting this.
